Merlin.

Well as my wife showed up here as a teenager without me, perhaps your real wife will show up soon. The question is, what are we going to do with this girl until then? What will we say to her? She may not be your wife yet but she will be eventually, so you likely know her better than the rest of us. What do you suggest?

I do not know her at this age, at all.

[Cygnus]
Yes, and you arrived with your wife and have not had to deal with any uncomfortable moments because Druella, both versions in fact, are so composed.

Also, the younger one does not care for you.

She seems quite amiable.

Well she is the woman that will grow to be your wife, would it be so bad if she developed a crush on you? better you than someone else, right old man?

Cygnus, dear, do stop adding to this poor man's distress.

Frederick, simply comport yourself with her as you have been the younger version of myself. There is no need to tell her the future unless she requests to know as no doubt we will soon be put back in our own times.

Well it's a natural curiosity, I suppose. I would likely have asked the same question as a young man.

You will get through this.

I do hope we never discover if this is true.

And yes, Frederick, you will manage admirably, I am certain.

She does not yet seem so precocious as your granddaughter is at that age, that's one small blessing, isn't it?

I assure you, you'll be fine.

Gods help me if Meda had gotten that from our side of the family and not from yours.

I hope you don't have to deal with a teenaged version of Meda who loves you, though I fear that neither Druella nor myself have that particular trait.

Precociousness? No, of course, that trait only developed in your daughters.

You're STILL going on about that, old man? She's just a child who though that she could defend your son.

She still treats me as though I am some sort of villain! It is unnatural, Bellatrix from our time would never treat me so.

Bellatrix from our time knows that you care for your children, Bellatrix is now just a child, and she holds grudges sometimes, I'm afraid. Perhaps you should reach out to her?

And say what to her, she finds fault with my every word.

I never remember her like this.

TRY, Frederick. If I remember correctly my Bella was a bit uncertain of what to think about you when she and Rodolphus first became serious. She never told you, but she was apprehensive, and somehow you won her over. Charm her, or give her candy, or do something nice for her sisters.

Oh, all right.

Yes, I will send all three of them candy, as you suggested.
